Days Fork Mountain Biking

With an elevation gain of 2600 ft. in 3 miles you bound to run into some steep sections of trail. I tried to pack light with 2 lenses and 2 flashes, but true to Tim Lewin's warning there was plenty of walking the bike up(I needed to more than he did).  With all the effort of getting up this trail it was more than rewarding to see some beautiful vistas, lush canyons and interesting mining remnants. We stopped a couple times along the way up to shoot these photos coming away with some really nice images. (I'm holding one) Overall it was a nice little adventure getting into a canyon I had never even been to before.

The composition of the second image is stunning; the old mining gear in the foreground, the ridges in the distance and Tim off to the right... nice work!
